This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I saw your comment regarding the upside down american flag. When was the last time you read your flag etiquette. It is a symbol of distress and a proper use of the american flag.
Section 8a. The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
Before you make mindless, meatheaded comments tp prove you are a patriot maybe you should make sure you are right. The gov't was made to be doubted, and people who do are the true patriots. We are the ones who make sure that people like you remain free.
Last time I checked I didnt have to prove to anyone that I was a patriot. The tape that I wear on my chest everyday says it for me. Furthermore, the aforementioned is common knowledge to me as it is to all who serve. That does not negate the fact that the photo in reference has no intention of being a sign of distress (except possibly for the person who carries it, because they are clealy an idiot). So before you go makeing assumptions yourself, perhaps you should get your facts straight. Do you know why the army wears the flag backwards on their uniforms? It is because we never retreat, the flag is always advancing, in much the same way as we never invert our flag to admit distress. WE DONT LOSE!
Maybe the photo is trying to show how America is in distress, because of an oppressive government that wants to take away our rights. I have no problem with the military and have great respect for those that fight for my country. Some people, though, try to protect america from itself, so that the government doesn't have too much control over its people. These people who protest against the evils manifested through our leaders should be given respect as well. You on the other hand have no respect for those that think differently than you. Read the first amendment sometime. Don't you think there is a reason that it protects those that dispute the government? If people, like the person who raised that flag, were unable to express there opinions, we would cease to be free.
If on the outset of your reply you are referring to the patriot act, and its so called "big brother" policy then you really have no idea what it is about. What rights are being taken away from us? The rights of bad people who intend to harm us? The right to not have to worry when getting onto and airplane? As far as I'm concerned the government can listen to my phone calls, monitor my library card, check my internet activities and follow my passport. Do you know why I don't care? The reason is simple, innocent people have nothing to worry about! As far as having control over me the only thing that the government has control over is taking my money and giving it to freeloaders, which of course I'm sure YOU are in agreement with. You are absolutely correct that people with opposing view points and people that hate this country deserve respect. They deserve a respectful seat on a respectful middle eastern airline on the next respectful flight out of this country. And furthermore as if you demand respect, than your must issue it as well, if you insist on treating me like an uneducated fool it only further proves your position as an ignorant idiot.
I wasn't refering to the Patriot Act as so many mindless liberals would whine about. I am refering the general activities of the government in the past few years. You are correct that innocent people have nothing to worry about, but the fact is that the government has no right to intrude into my life without due cause. I am not refering to people who hate this country either. I am refering to the people like me who hate what our government has become. I love america and would like to see it return to what it's founders had intended it to be. Our government and a lot of it's citizens have lost site of what freedom is all about. America doesn't even know what government means anymore. To most of our citizens elections are a civil war between our two main parties. Nothing is about doing the right thing anymore. The problem with the Patriot Act is not all about the act itself, it is what it will lead to. It is just another step in the wrong direction. You are teaching people to fear the government, when the government should really fear it's people.
